Name: Koster Pro 1840AL LED garden lamp post with telescopic pole 236–336 cm, 19.4 W, 4000 K, DALI2, light grey RAL 9006 – NORLYS
Brand: NORLYS

Koster Pro 1840AL is a garden lamp post supplied complete with its pole: the 1839 luminaire, with a domed 24.5 cm shade on a horizontal arm, fits onto the 1273 telescopic pole of 5 cm diameter. The whole set is powder-coated cast aluminium in light grey RAL 9006 (listed by the manufacturer as ALUMINIUM), and a clear optical PMMA diffuser closes the dome from below. Height and installation The pole is telescopic, so the height can be set anywhere from 236 to 336 cm – lower beside a garden path, higher by a driveway. The arm holds the luminaire 45 cm out from the pole axis. The pole has an inspection door behind which sits the connector, taking cable up to 5 × 4 mm² with a round sheath up to 12.5 mm in diameter. The base is fixed through three ø10.5 mm holes spaced at 120° on a ø207 mm circle; other accessories are sold separately. It is a protection class I luminaire, so it needs an earth connection. The inrush current is 15 A for 295 µs – the figure needed when choosing a circuit breaker for several posts on one circuit. Light and control The Philips Fortimo LED module produces 2927 lm, and 2732 lm leaves the complete luminaire at a draw of 19.4 W. 4000 K is a neutral white, and Ra 70 is adequate for lighting a route, although it renders plant colours less faithfully than Ra 80 or 90 fittings. The Ledil T2-L lens gives an asymmetric IESNA Type III distribution, so the light stretches along the path in front of the post. A ULOR of 0% and a BUG rating of B1-U1-G1 mean no light is sent into the sky. The driver runs on DALI outdoor (DALI2) and is factory-set to maximum current, so once connected the post lights at full output. Dimming needs a DALI controller – an ordinary phase dimmer will not work. Build and servicing IP65 means protection against dust and water jets, and the optical assembly itself – LED module and lens – is rated IP67. The LED module is rated L90B10 for over 100,000 h and the driver for 100,000 h; both are replaced by a professional service using kit ZS1840zx0309, so a failure does not mean replacing the whole post.Show more
