The GES1190C is a recessed step light from Gea Luce with a rectangular aluminium housing in a white finish. A white polycarbonate diffuser runs the full width of the front, and the visible frame is held by two screws. The manufacturer intends the fitting for outdoor installation. The opening you need to prepare and what comes in the box The visible frame measures 250 × 98 mm and the housing itself 249 × 95 mm with a depth of 84 mm. The back box is included, so the recess is formed with it while the wall is being built or plastered. The 120° beam is indirect: the diffuser spreads the light widely downwards and sideways instead of throwing a sharp cone. The LED module is built in and cannot be replaced — the manufacturer rates it at 30,000 hours. The fitting only switches on and off and will not work with a dimmer. Where it can be mounted IP65 means full protection against dust and against water jets from any direction, so the fitting will take an unsheltered external wall.
