The DALLAS MOD547WL-09G is a wall lamp built from nine blown glass spheres in an amber tint, set on gold-finished metal branches. The spheres are placed irregularly on both sides of a horizontal bar, so the piece spreads sideways rather than projecting as a single shade. How much wall it takes The composition measures 66 cm across and 24 cm high — a wall lamp for a broad stretch of wall, not for a narrow strip between a door and a corner. When planning the spot, compare that width with the furniture it will hang above: over an 80–100 cm chest of drawers it leaves a little over ten centimetres of margin each side. The mounting base is rectangular at 23 × 6 cm, so it covers an ordinary wall box. The lamp weighs 1.98 kg — in masonry an ordinary plugged fixing is enough, in plasterboard you need anchors made for board or a fixing into the profile. How much light it gives and which lamps to buy The fitting has nine G9 lampholders, and the manufacturer gives 28 W as the maximum per holder. With a full set of nine that is a figure worth converting into circuit load — nine lamps at 28 W is over a quarter of a kilowatt, while LED equivalents in the same cap draw a few watts each. Lamps are not included. The amber glass is tinted, so light passing through it will always be warmer and more yellow than the lamp itself — behind this kind of shade 2700 K comes close to candlelight, and cooler sources lose the most to it. The lamp is not dimmable: the manufacturer's table states "Dimmable: No", so a dimmer in the circuit will achieve nothing here. It runs on 220–240 V at 50 Hz and is protection class I — an earth conductor has to reach the wall box, and without earthing the lamp may not be connected. Materials and the series The spheres are blown, so each differs slightly in shape and wall thickness, and they measure about 10 cm across. The metal branches carry a polished gold finish that reflects the light from the spheres and adds a second source of shine beyond the glass itself. The Dallas series also includes pendants, ceiling lamps and a floor lamp built from the same spheres, so the wall lamp can be paired with a fitting over a table in one room.
