Paola 3547 is a two-light wall lamp in gold-painted metal. The oval wall plate carries a gold-leaf finish — irregular streaks and a matt sheen are visible across it. Two curved arms leave the plate and end in cream, cone-shaped fabric shades; the right one closes into a ring from which a deep red glass teardrop hangs. Which bulbs it needs The lamp takes two E14 bulbs and none are supplied, so you choose them yourself. The assembly instructions set a limit of 20 W per socket, which rules out a classic 40 W candle bulb and leaves an LED source. At 2700–3000 K you get the warm, slightly yellow light usually expected from a shaded fitting. Bulb size matters too: the shade accepts a source up to 45 mm across and 95 mm long — a candle or a small golf-ball bulb, not a standard A60 globe. The manufacturer does not declare this fitting as dimmable. How much wall it takes up The fitting is 40 cm tall and 32 cm wide, and it stands 21 cm out from the wall. That last figure usually decides: above a bedside table or in a corridor, compare it with the space left to the edge of the bed or to a clear walkway. The shades point upwards, so the light travels towards the ceiling and comes back reflected. Build and wiring Frame and wall plate are metal, the shades are fabric, and the drop on the ring is glass. The fitting is built to protection class I: an earth conductor has to be available in the wall box, because the terminal block in the instructions has three positions — live, neutral and earth. The lamp itself weighs 0.76 kg. The manufacturer intends it for indoor use.
