RENDL MARAIS 53 Bathroom Wall Light White LED 18 W 1465 lm 3000 K IP44
MARAIS 53 is a white Rendl bathroom wall light made of solid lacquered aluminium. The body is shaped like a curling wave: the top edge rolls over the integrated LED module, and the light comes out from under this overhang along the whole length of the fitting.Size and where it goes on the wallThe light is 53 cm long, 8 cm high and 8 cm deep, and it fixes to the wall on an 18 cm wide bracket. Compare the 53 cm length with the width of the mirror or cabinet it will hang above — for a wide mirror Rendl shows two of these lights side by side. The fitting weighs 1.37 kg.IP44 means protection against splashing water from any direction, so the light can be mounted in a bathroom next to the mirror and above the washbasin. How much light, and what kindThe integrated LED module draws 18 W and gives 1465 lm, roughly what an old 100 W incandescent bulb produced. That is enough to light a face in front of the mirror rather than just accent the wall. 3000 K is warm white, and a colour rendering index of Ra 80 is typical of ordinary home lighting. The light source is built in and comes in the box, so there is no bulb to buy, but it cannot be replaced either. Rendl gives the module a lifetime of 25,000 hours. The light connects directly to 230 V mains; the driver is built in and nothing needs to be added on the supply side.Where it fitsRendl intends MARAIS 53 mainly for mounting above or beside a bathroom mirror and over a dressing table. The same fitting also works as a wall light in a bedroom, living room, entrance hall or corridor, and as a picture light. The form is modern and minimalist: a smooth white profile with no decoration, where the only accent is the curve of the top edge.Mostra di più
