EYE BLACK GOLD is a single-light wall spot: a round black back plate carries a short arm and a cylindrical head in gold. The head is joined to the arm by a knuckle, so it turns and tilts. The whole fitting is metal and is made in Poland. The lamp you buy separately The fitting takes one GU10 lamp and none is included. The maker quotes a maximum of 4 W — a figure worth checking before buying the lamp, because ordinary GU10 LED reflectors run at 5-7 W and go past that limit. The metal tube is narrow and open only at the front, so a more powerful lamp would have nowhere to shed its heat. Colour temperature and brightness come with the lamp you choose. The 4 W ceiling does set the character of the fitting, though: a point of light for one place rather than lighting for a whole room. How much space it takes and how it is aimed The maker gives the dimensions as 15 x 10 x 15 cm. On the wall the fitting occupies a circle roughly 10 cm across, with the arm and head reaching a little over ten centimetres beyond it — a measurement to compare against the space left beside a bed, a picture or a shelving unit. The knuckle lets the beam be aimed sideways, down or up after the fitting is mounted. One movable light point works as a bedside reading light, as a picture light, or as an accent on a hallway wall. Build and where it can go The frame is metal in black and gold: a black round plate with a gold arm and head. There is no shade and no diffuser — the light comes straight off the lamp seated in the tube, so the lamp itself is visible and its appearance matters when choosing one. IP20 protection restricts the fitting to dry interiors: outside bathroom protection zones and outside any outdoor position.
