KARI BLACK/GOLD is a wall light for a single E27 bulb, built from a round black backplate, a straight arm and a polished brass lampholder sleeve. A black braided cable loops over the arm, and a smoked glass shade of irregular, hand-blown form hangs below the holder. How far it stands off the wall The fitting projects 25 cm from the wall and measures 27 cm high by 15 cm wide. Those 25 cm are the figure to compare with the clearance you have — above a bed or along a narrow hallway they decide whether the lamp gets in the way. The backplate is round and covers a standard wiring box. The whole fitting weighs 0.7 kg boxed, so fixing it does not call for heavy-load anchors. Which bulb to buy for it The holder takes an E27 thread and the manufacturer gives a maximum bulb power of 60 W. No light source is included, so colour and brightness are yours to choose — the 60 W is a ceiling for a classic incandescent lamp, not this lamp's consumption. The shade is open at the bottom and translucent, so the bulb shows through the glass and becomes part of the shape. A decorative bulb with a visible filament is therefore the natural choice; a bright clear one will shine noticeably into your eyes through the smoked glass. The fitting has no built-in dimmer — dimming depends on the bulb and on a dimmer in the circuit. Smoked glass and finish The shade is smoke-tinted glass in a soft, dimpled teardrop form, each piece with its own pattern of hollows and reflections. The tinted glass sends the light out muted, and the fitting still reads as an object when it is switched off. The frame is metal, black paired with polished brass. The manufacturer states IP20 and restricts the fitting to indoor use, which rules out a splash zone in a bathroom and any outdoor position. The lamp is made in Poland.Mostra di più
