The V-TAC VT-8340 is a surface-mounted linear batten 150 cm long, in a white plastic housing with an opal diffuser running its whole length. The SMD LED module is permanently built in — there is no thread in the fitting for a tube or a bulb. How much light it gives The fitting draws 50 W and delivers 6000 lm at an efficacy of 120 lm/W. That is a main-lighting figure for a large room: six thousand lumens is roughly what seven old 60 W bulbs gave, gathered into one line. The 120° beam spreads the light wide, so the batten lights a strip of floor wider than the fitting itself. 4000 K is neutral white — cooler than household incandescent light, without the blue cast of 6000 K. The manufacturer provides no dimming: the fitting runs at one brightness level, and the colour is fixed, because this article is the 4000 K version of the three offered.
