Stockholm 286BL is an outdoor wall light in the style of a Scandinavian lantern: a clear PMMA cylinder ringed with steel bands and covered by a flat round roof. The fitting stands on a horizontal arm that runs out from a round wall plate. The body is hot-dip galvanised steel, powder-coated black (RAL 9005).Size and mounting on the facadeAccording to the manufacturer's drawing the roof is 38.6 cm across and the whole fitting is 38 cm high; the round plate fixed to the wall is 11.5 cm in diameter. The manufacturer calculated its light distribution for a mounting height of 2.5 m, a figure to compare with the spot you have in mind. The light can also go on the corner of a building, but that needs the 153XX0009 corner bracket, bought separately.The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 2.5 mm², and the EPDM gland seals a round cable 7–10.5 mm in diameter, so check that the cable on your facade fits that range. The fitting is protection class II, so no earth conductor is needed. IP54 means protection against splashing water from any direction, which lets the light hang on a wall with no roof over it.Light source and light distributionThe fitting has an E27 socket and takes an A55–A60 shaped LED lamp of up to 9 W. No lamp is included, and a larger decorative globe or a long candle lamp will not fit inside the cylinder. As its reference source the manufacturer names an E27 LED lamp of 806 lm, 8.5 W and 2700 K, which matches the brightness of an old 60 W bulb in a warm, yellowish tone. The user replaces the lamp.This is open light: it leaves the clear shade sideways and partly upwards. According to the manufacturer's card roughly a third of the fitting's light output (ULOR 32.85%) goes above the horizontal, so the light also lights the wall above it, which matters if a bedroom window sits just above.Where it fits and how to look after itThe catalogue assigns the light to gardens and facades, and to hotels and restaurants, wherever an entrance or a building wall is lit. A silicone gasket keeps moisture out, and the shade and gasket are available from the manufacturer as spare parts, so a cracked cylinder does not mean replacing the whole fitting.Mostra di più
