The NICOLETA GREY 837 is a three-light ceiling spotlight: three short arms sit on a round ceiling plate, each holding a shade built from bent plywood slats held together by black metal rods. The frame is white and grey, the shades are grey, and the fitting screws flat to the ceiling — no drop, no chain. How much room it takes under the ceiling The whole fitting sits inside a circle 32 cm across and comes 27 cm below the ceiling. That is far less than a pendant's drop, so it works where headroom is short: in a hallway, over a walkway in the kitchen, or in a room with a lower ceiling. The three shades face outwards, spreading the light across three directions rather than into a single cone. Which bulbs to buy The fitting has three E27 sockets and the manufacturer allows lamps up to 60 W each. No bulbs are included — you buy three separately and choose the colour and brightness yourself: 2700–3000 K gives warm, slightly yellow light, and a lamp of about 800 lm matches the old 60 W incandescent. The shades are open: gaps run between the slats, so the bulb is visible from every side and becomes part of how the lamp looks. The choice of bulb therefore matters — a clear one with a visible filament casts a sharp pattern of shadows across the ceiling and walls, while a frosted one gives softer, less dazzling light, because the shade screens nothing. Build and where it fits The frame combines metal with plywood and the shades are plywood throughout — the grain shows through the grey stain. The ceiling plate is white towards the ceiling and grey underneath, and the wire cages are finished in black. The manufacturer intends the fitting for living rooms, hallways, kitchens and hospitality interiors, and calls the style modern: a plain form, no ornament, grey wood set against black metal.
