Name: Chance semi-flush ceiling light Quintiesse 3 x E27, Ø 45.7 cm, heritage brass, opal glass
Brand: Quintiesse

Chance is a semi-flush ceiling light with a drum shade shaped like a four-leaf clover, designed by Hinkley and sold in Europe under the Quintiesse label of the Elstead Lighting group. The steel body is finished in heritage brass — a warm, golden tone with a brushed grain and slight shading. A panel of matt opal glass with a scalloped edge closes the shade underneath, and the fitting sits just below the ceiling on curved straps and a central stem. How much room it takes under the ceiling This is the medium Chance semi-flush: 457 mm across and 330 mm tall, with no drop and no height adjustment. Those 330 mm come off the room's height, so compare them with your ceiling height and with the headroom you want to keep in a hallway or above a bed. Which bulbs you need to buy The fitting has three E27 sockets, and the manufacturer specifies a maximum lamp wattage of 60 W. Bulbs are not supplied, so these must be chosen separately. Light output and colour temperature depend on those bulbs rather than the brass finish of the body. When choosing lamps for a living room or bedroom, compare their ratings with the room size and other lighting: having three sockets does not, by itself, establish how bright the finished installation will be. The metal sides of the drum are paired with a lower opal glass diffuser. Dimming requires suitable dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer. The fitting operates on 220–240 V mains and is rated Class I, meaning a protective earth connection is required. Build and intended use The shade is made of four curved steel segments separated by vertical ribs and held together by bands with visible rivets; the glass is matt, so the bulbs do not show through it. The manufacturer describes the style as transitional — a classic clover outline with plain, exposed rivets. The fitting is intended for indoor use and carries a two-year guarantee. Its ceiling-mounted form can be considered for a living room, bedroom, corridor or entrance hall once the remaining clearance below the fitting has been checked. This variant has the Heritage Brass finish; blackened brass is a separate colour option.Mostra di più
