Lillehammer 1587BL is an outdoor wall light with a plain rectangular body of powder-coated cast aluminium in black, RAL 9005. It is 18.5 cm tall and 8 cm wide, and projects 11 cm from the wall. A single clear safety-glass window closes its top face.How the light fallsLight leaves only upwards, in a 60° beam, and the manufacturer gives a ULOR of 100%, meaning the whole output goes above the fitting. On the wall it draws a bright wedge above the light while the ground and steps below stay unlit, so an entrance or path needs a separate fitting.The built-in LED module draws 4 W. The source produces 504 lm, but 114 lm leaves the housing because the narrow optic concentrates the light on a strip of wall. That is a decorative accent rather than working light. At 3000 K the light is warm white, under which render, timber and brick keep their warm tone; colour rendering is Ra 80.It is meant for lighting facades, pilasters and niches, and also suits balconies and the fronts of hotels and restaurants, where a row of identical lights sets the rhythm of the elevation.Dimming and servicingThe fitting dims by phase control, but only trailing edge (TE), so it needs a trailing-edge dimmer, usually marked RC; a leading-edge dimmer (R, RL) is not intended for it.The LED module and driver are not user-replaceable, but a professional service can replace them, and the manufacturer offers service kit ZS1587zx0009 for this fitting. It rates the module at over 102,000 h (L80) and the driver at 50,000 h, over 22 years at six hours a day.Mounting and connectionIP65 means a dust-tight housing protected against water jets, so the light can hang on a wall without a canopy; impact resistance is IK08. It is a class I fitting and must be connected to the protective earth conductor.The housing fixes to the wall through two ø5 mm holes spaced 45 × 130 mm. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm², a round cable 7 to 10.5 mm in diameter enters through an EPDM gland, and a silicone gasket seals the body.
