The IR Quattro HD-2 24m KNX V3.5 is a passive infrared presence detector for flush ceiling installation, with a square white cover and a domed lens. It detects presence across a 360° field and measures brightness, temperature and air humidity at the same time. The area it covers Steinel publishes three different ranges, several times apart. Movement across the field is detected over 24 × 24 m, or 576 m². Movement straight towards the sensor — over 9 × 9 m (81 m²). Presence, the small movements of someone sitting still, also over 9 × 9 m. When spacing sensors above desks it is that smallest figure that binds, not the 576 m². The detection angle is 360°, the opening angle 160°, and the field splits into 5,200 switching zones. Sensitivity and each of the four pyro sensors switch off digitally, and the field can be masked segment by segment, so a chosen part of the room stays outside detection. Mounting height runs from 2.5 to 10 m, with 2.8 m given as the optimum. Powered from the KNX bus, not from 230 V The unit is fed from the KNX bus at 30 V, drawing 10 mA with a self-consumption of 0.3 W. Steinel's manual expressly forbids connecting it to 230 V mains, so the bus has to reach the mounting point — on a lighting circuit alone the detector will not work. The medium is TP 256; this variant does not support KNX Secure. What the ceiling has to allow for The cover visible from below measures 103 × 103 mm and the mounting hole is Ø 67 mm. The body reaches 69–77 mm above the ceiling plane — a depth worth comparing with the void above your own suspended ceiling. The housing is UV-resistant plastic in RAL 9003 white; IP20 and an operating range of 0 to 40 °C limit installation to dry rooms. Net weight is 0.18 kg. Settings and functions Parameters are set from the bus, from ETS software, from the app over Bluetooth Mesh, or with the potentiometers on the device. The twilight threshold spans 2–2000 lx and the on-time 10 s to 1,092 min. Constant light control dims the luminaires as daylight increases, and the basic-light function leaves a steady level between 0 and 100% once the main lighting has switched off. The detector also puts temperature, humidity and dew point on the bus, with an HVAC output. A remote control is not included.Mostra di più
