The QUAD FRAME 19 is a surface-mounted wall light shaped as a flat white aluminium box. The light does not leave through the face but through a slot running along the lower edge of the housing. The LED module is built in permanently, and a colour-temperature switch sits inside the housing. How big it is and how far it stands off the wall The housing measures 18.5 cm wide and 15.5 cm high, and projects 5.2 cm from the wall. That last figure is what decides where the fitting will go: at a narrow passage or beside a door frame it is worth comparing with the space that stays clear along the wall. The fitting weighs 668 g. It mounts straight onto the wall, with no recess and no flush box needed for the housing. Two colours of light, chosen at installation Under the cover there is a CCT switch with positions marked 2700 K and 3000 K. The colour is chosen once, while fitting: 2700 K is warm, slightly yellow light close to a traditional bulb, and 3000 K is a warm white a shade cooler. This is not switching from the wall switch — once the housing is closed the setting stays. Brightness follows the same choice: 580 lm at 2700 K and 640 lm at 3000 K. A colour rendering index of Ra 90 means the colours of the wall, and of whatever stands against it, read almost as they do in daylight. How it spreads the light The slot in the lower edge and a 100 degree beam give a wide, soft field of light running down the wall — in the manufacturer's photographs it draws a triangle below the fitting. The LED sits hidden inside the housing, so from eye level the source itself is not visible. At just under 600 lm this is atmosphere light that picks out a wall, not lighting to read or work by. Fitting and running it The light works in protection class I, so an earth conductor has to reach the box. Supply is 220-240 V, and the IP20 rating means dry indoor rooms only, at temperatures from -20 °C to 40 °C.
