The GFA332 by Gea Luce is a surface-mounted ceiling downlight shaped as a square box with 8.1 cm sides. The body is aluminium finished in matt black. A tilting ring holding the GU10 socket sits in the lower edge and swings off the vertical axis, so the beam can be aimed away from straight down. How much ceiling it takes up The base measures 8.1 × 8.1 cm and the fitting projects 9.6 cm below the ceiling surface — compare that figure with your room height and with the clearance to a wall cabinet or a curtain track. At 0.34 kg the weight does not dictate the fixing method. Mounting is on the surface: the housing screws onto a finished ceiling, with no cut-out and no void above it. That suits concrete slabs and rooms without a suspended ceiling, where a recessed fitting cannot be seated. What light it gives and how to aim it The fitting takes one GU10 lamp of up to 50 W. Colour and brightness therefore follow the lamp you choose: 2700–3000 K gives warm, slightly yellow light, 4000 K neutral white. The tilting ring lets you angle the lamp and put the light on a chosen stretch of wall, on a picture or on a worktop, instead of only the surface directly beneath. Supply and where it can be fitted The GFA332 runs on 220–240 V and needs no separate driver. The maker states insulation class I, which means the metal housing has to be connected to the protective conductor — an earth wire is required at the mounting box.
