The Egersund 5068AL is a cylindrical bollard light, 108 cm tall and 20 cm in diameter, in cast aluminium powder-coated light grey RAL 9006. At the top it has a clear PMMA cylinder with a conical reflector inside that spreads the light all around the bollard.How much light it gives and how it spreads itThe integrated LED module draws 20.3 W. The light source itself produces 2617 lm and 1681 lm leaves the fitting – a level for main lighting that clearly lights a path, a driveway or the area in front of an entrance. The manufacturer specifies a rotationally symmetrical distribution, so the light falls evenly on every side and only 10% of the flux (ULOR) goes upwards.3000 K is warm white, calmer than neutral white for lighting a garden and the grounds of a house; CRI is 80.DALI2 control and servicingThe bollard has an Inventronics driver to the DALI outdoor standard with D4i and NightDim. It leaves the factory programmed to maximum current, so without a controller it runs at full output; dimming and schedules need a DALI installation or NightDim programming, and the manufacturer sets other driver parameters by arrangement with its sales department.The LED module and the driver are replaceable by a professional service, using service kit ZS5068zx0011. The manufacturer rates the module at L80 over 102,000 h and the driver at 100,000 h.Installation and wiringIP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets, and IK08 is the housing's impact rating – the bollard can stand where people walk. It is a protection class I luminaire and must be connected to the protective earth.It is fixed with three bolts through ø9 mm holes set at 120° on a ø65 mm circle. The concrete anchor (1230) is sold separately. The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 4 mm² and allow bollards to be looped through, and the cable can be 8–17 mm in diameter. Because of its 27 A inrush current the manufacturer allows at most 18 fittings on a B10 breaker and 30 on a B16 – figures to plan the circuit around on a longer path.
