Clyde 4-Rail is a pendant built on a black bar 115 cm long, carrying four small cone shades of 8.5 cm diameter that face downwards. The body is metal in black RAL 9005 with plastic parts. The bar hangs on two cables from a 35.2 cm canopy strip. How big it is and how high it hangs The bar is 115 cm — a figure to set against the length of the surface the lamp will hang over; four shades spread the light along that whole length instead of concentrating it in one point. The complete fitting weighs 2.35 kg. The cable, sleeved in black textile, is 200 cm long. Hanging height is set by storing surplus cable inside the canopy — the manufacturer says explicitly that this avoids cutting it, and gives 60 cm as the shortest possible drop. Over a dining table the bottom edge of the shades usually ends up 70–80 cm above the top. Nordlux notes the fitting is not intended for hook suspension. How much light it gives The shades hold four LED modules of 4 W each, 16 W in total. The manufacturer quotes 350 lm per shade, so about 1400 lm from the whole fitting — roughly two old 60 W bulbs, but split across four points. 2700 K is warm, slightly yellow white, close to incandescent light. The colour rendering index is Ra 80 and the beam angle 120°, so each shade lights a wide field beneath it. Moodmaker™ — three brightness steps from an ordinary switch The lamp has the Moodmaker™ function built in: brightness steps through three levels from a normal wall switch, and the setting is remembered. No dimmer or controller has to be bought, though for the same reason brightness cannot be set continuously. What cannot be replaced The light source is permanently built in — Nordlux describes it as "LED – non-replaceable" and states 25,000 hours of service life. The cable cannot be replaced either; the manufacturer lists "replaceable: No" for it. The class F energy label applies to a single 4 W module rated 350 lm. The fitting runs on 220–240 V, carries IP20 and is meant for dry interiors. It is built to protection class II, double insulated, so no protective earth conductor is required; connecting it to the 230 V installation remains an electrician's job.Mostra di più
