TUULA L is a chandelier built as an open rectangular frame of 130 x 40 cm, hung horizontally on four thin transparent cables. The profile, the ceiling plate and the frame are black, and a matt diffuser runs along the inner edge of the profile, so the whole outline lights rather than a single point. The LED is built in permanently and is supplied with the fitting. How big it is and how to hang it The frame measures 130 x 40 cm, taking up a band more than a metre long. The maximum drop is 150 cm and can be shortened, because the cable suspension is adjustable. Over a dining table the cables are usually shortened so the lower edge sits 70-80 cm above the tabletop; with a table at 75 cm that means a drop of roughly a metre, comfortably inside the adjustment range. The fitting weighs 3.8 kg and hangs from four points, with the supply cable running separately to the ceiling plate. Those four fixing points have to be set out on the ceiling before drilling, since their spacing is fixed by the frame and cannot be changed once the fitting is up. How much light it gives, and of what kind The module delivers 8096 lm for 50 W drawn. That is several times the old 60 W bulb and its roughly 800 lm, so TUULA L is a room's main lighting rather than an accent lamp for a corner. 4000 K is neutral white light, closer to daylight than to the yellowish light of a filament bulb; it suits places where people work or cook rather than rooms meant to feel warm in the evening. Colour rendering is Ra 98, so colours under this light read almost as they do by day. That matters over a table, at a worktop, and anywhere colours have to be judged accurately. The diodes sit inside the profile and are not changed like a bulb; when the module reaches the end of its life the whole fitting is replaced. Connection The fitting runs on 230 V, 50 Hz and is protection class I, which means the wiring at the mounting point must carry an earth conductor. In older buildings with no earth at the ceiling box that is something to check before buying. The lamp is intended for dry interiors only. It is manufactured in Poland.Mostra di più
