The Argon PONTE PLUS 6192 is a three-arm chandelier on a rigid support tube, with three green velour shades set on arms that fan out from a central hub. The frame is brass-finished steel, and the manufacturer gives the colourway as green with dark brass. The shades are truncated cones, 155 mm across at the top and 185 mm at the bottom. How big it is and how low it hangs The fitting spans 475 mm and stands 630 mm tall: 75 mm of that is the cylindrical ceiling cup of 60 mm diameter, 430 mm the rigid support tube, the rest the arms and shades. The drop is fixed, because the chandelier hangs on a tube rather than an adjustable cable, so 630 mm is the only height it hangs at. Over a table the lower edge of the shades wants to sit 70-80 cm above the top, so compare that with what you have between your own ceiling and table top - there is nothing to shorten here. A 475 mm spread keeps its proportions over a top 80-90 cm wide. The chandelier weighs 2.6 kg, and the instructions show it hung from a hook screwed into the ceiling. Which bulbs fit The chandelier takes three E27 lampholders on 230 V and comes without light sources. The manufacturer's instruction sheet allows LED lamps only, up to 15 W per holder, and states the maximum envelope: 50 mm diameter and 105 mm length. A standard A60 pear measures 60 mm across the glass alone, so it will not go in - that leaves smaller envelopes such as a G45 golf ball or a candle lamp. The bulb decides the light colour: 2700-3000 K gives warm, slightly yellow light. The instruction pictogram allows dimming, but that needs lamps marked as dimmable and a dimmer in the circuit - the fitting itself carries no control electronics. Build and wiring The velour is matt and opaque, and the shades are open top and bottom, so the light leaves upwards and downwards rather than through the shade wall. The shade interiors are pale. The manufacturer intends the fitting for indoor use. The instruction sheet carries the protective earth symbol, which is protection class I - the connection needs an earth conductor in the ceiling box. Argon also states the fitting can be modified for 2+1 switching, splitting the three lamps across two circuits.
