ARAMIEL LE65105 is a recessed spotlight for installation in a suspended ceiling. The black aluminium body with its finned heat sink disappears above the ceiling, and from below you see a narrow black ring with a gold reflector inside it. Two spring arms hold the fitting in the opening. How much room it needs above the ceiling The ring is 8,4 cm across and covers the edge of the cut opening. The whole fitting measures 7,8 cm in height, so that much clear space has to remain above the ceiling board - a figure to compare with the gap left under the soffit once the ceiling was hung. The arms splay as the fitting is pushed in and press it against the ceiling from above, so no screws are needed to hold it. The fitting weighs 0,28 kg. The light it gives The built-in Cree LED module draws 13 W and delivers 1172 lm. That is clearly more than an old 60 W bulb, so a few of these light a room rather than merely accenting parts of it. The colour of 2700 K is warm and slightly yellow, close to the light of a traditional bulb. Colour rendering is above Ra 90, so colours read almost as they do in daylight - which counts over a worktop, at a mirror, and wherever the colour of fabric or timber has to be right. The beam angle is 38 degrees, so the light falls as a cone over a defined area below the fitting; whether those areas join up is decided by the spacing between fittings. UGR below 19 means the fitting stays within the glare limit set for office workstations. Supply, dimming and where it may go The driver is included, so the fitting connects straight to a 230 V circuit with no transformer to buy. It is an On/Off driver, though - the fitting is not dimmable, and a wall dimmer will not dim it but may disturb the way it runs. The light source is integrated and cannot be replaced; when the module reaches the end of its life the whole fitting is changed. Ingress protection IP20 means installation in dry rooms only, outside the protection zones of a bathroom.Mostra di più
