Oslo 240BC Outdoor Wall Light E27 IP55, Black with Copper Patina, NORLYS

Name: Oslo 240BC Outdoor Wall Light E27 IP55, Black with Copper Patina, NORLYS
Brand: NORLYS

Oslo 240BC is a NORLYS outdoor wall light in the form of a lantern hung from a curved arm: three flat, horizontal discs sit below a small dome, and the light source is enclosed by a clear, UV-stabilised polycarbonate diffuser. The BC finish is black with a copper patina on hot-dip galvanised and powder-coated steel. Dimensions and installation The wall light is 25.5 cm high and projects 40 cm from the wall, and the largest disc is 28.5 cm across. Compare these figures with the free space in front of the wall where it will hang. The luminaire weighs 3.1 kg. It mounts on the supplied mounting box. The manufacturer also allows corner mounting on a building – this needs corner bracket 153XX0009, sold separately. The terminals take 2 × 2.5 mm² conductors, looping to the next luminaire is done with 2 × 1.5 mm² cable, and the gland takes a round cable 7–10.5 mm in diameter. It is a protection class II luminaire, so no protective earth is required, and IP55 protection lets it hang on an exterior wall without any extra cover. Light source The wall light has an E27 socket and takes an LED bulb of up to 9 W in the classic A55–A60 bulb shape – bulbs of other shapes may not fit inside the diffuser. No light source is included, and the user replaces it. As an example the manufacturer names the dimmable Philips Master LEDbulb 806 lm / 8.5 W / 2700 K, which matches the brightness of an old 60 W bulb and gives warm, slightly yellow light. The light is open and only partly shielded from above by the discs. A ULOR of 9.19% and a BUG rating of B0-U2-G1 mean a small share of the flux also goes upwards. Where it fits The manufacturer describes Oslo as a wall light of Scandinavian design for general outdoor use – it suits a house facade and a garden. The diffuser can be replaced if damaged: the manufacturer offers diffuser service kit 06240003.Show more
