SKIVA M is a pendant light made of a single flat steel disc 25 cm across with a lampholder directly beneath it. The disc is powder-coated in a matt, slightly rough black, and the whole thing hangs on a black braided cord. The bulb stays completely in view — there is no shade to cover it. You choose the bulb The lampholder takes one E27 bulb up to 60 W, and no bulb is supplied, so it has to be added to the purchase. That is not a formality: with an open lampholder the bulb itself becomes a visible part of the fitting, so its shape and whether the glass is clear or opal change the look more than anything else. There is a practical side to it too. A clear decorative bulb with a visible filament looks good but burns as a point and dazzles when you look straight at it; an opal one spreads the light and can hang lower. The 60 W limit refers to a classic incandescent bulb — today's equivalent, around 800 lumens, an LED reaches on a few watts. How much room it takes and where to hang it The disc measures 25 cm across and the maker gives the height as 90 cm. That is a size at which one fitting will not light a whole table: 25 cm works over a bar counter, over a kitchen island, or in a row of several above a longer table, evenly spaced. The disc is solid and opaque, so all the light goes down and sideways and the ceiling stays dark. Above a table the lower edge usually sits 70–80 cm above the top; with an exposed bulb it is worth keeping to the upper figure so the source does not end up at the eye level of people seated. Build and sizes The fitting is metal throughout, in one colour — matt black — and it is made in Poland.
