Name: Rendl SKY R14231 black surface-mounted ceiling light, GX53 max. 7 W, IP65
Brand: Rendl light studio

Rendl SKY R14231 is a black cylindrical surface-mounted ceiling light with one fitting for a replaceable GX53 LED lamp. Light leaves through the circular underside, while the plain body remains visible as a small geometric feature on the ceiling. The manufacturer specifies both indoor and outdoor use.A compact fitting that sits on the ceilingThe body measures 9 cm in diameter and 7 cm in height. Compare those dimensions with the available ceiling surface and the route of the wiring before choosing its position. SKY attaches to the surface rather than requiring a cut-out to recess the entire body. Black makes a distinct contrast against a light ceiling. The simple cylinder suits modern and minimalist schemes without adding decorative arms or a suspended element.Choose the light through the GX53 lampThe installation manual permits a GX53 LED lamp rated at no more than 7 W. This is the lamp-power limit, not a statement of the complete fitting's luminous output. Brightness and colour temperature depend on the chosen light source. The housing itself therefore does not establish a lumen value or a particular shade of white. A replaceable source lets you change those characteristics later while keeping the fitting, provided the GX53 base and power limit are respected.Downward lighting indoors and outsideIP65 identifies protection against dust and water jets. Ceiling-directed installation can serve a terrace, gazebo or balcony with a suitable overhead mounting surface. Indoors, the fitting can provide a light point in a hallway, entrance area, stairwell, cellar or garage. For a larger area, plan the number of fittings around the lamps selected and the space, rather than assuming one compact light will cover it.A qualified installer must connect the fitting to the 230 V supply. Protection class I requires a protective earth connection. Bathroom positioning also needs to comply with the relevant installation-zone requirements. The manual specifies a minimum distance of 0.2 m from the illuminated surface.Show more
