Rendl ASTERI R14549 LED ceiling light, satin glass and chrome, 37 cm, 35 W, 3000 K

Name: Rendl ASTERI R14549 LED ceiling light, satin glass and chrome, 37 cm, 35 W, 3000 K
Brand: Rendl light studio

Rendl ASTERI R14549 is a round LED ceiling light with a satin-glass shade and a chrome ring securing the lower glass panel. A small reflective detail at the centre contrasts with the pale glass surface. The fitting stays close to the ceiling rather than occupying the room with a suspended shade or projecting arms.A 37 cm footprint with a shallow profileCompare the 37 cm diameter with the available ceiling area before choosing the mounting position. The technical drawing specifies a height of 62 mm, or 6.2 cm. Unlike a pendant, the light has no hanging cable bringing the shade down into the room. Allow space for the complete circular outline, not just the small central ring. The simple circular form and absence of elaborate decoration suit modern and minimalist interiors. Chrome is a limited accent rather than a large reflective surface. This lets the fitting relate to other chrome details without introducing an entirely metallic shade.Integrated LEDs and warm-white lightThe LED source is built into the fitting and supplied with it, so there is no separate bulb to buy. Power is 35 W, while the 3000 K colour temperature gives warm-white light. The manufacturer lists a luminous flux of 3100 lm and a colour rendering index of Ra 80. Compare brightness using lumens rather than wattage alone; the number of fittings required depends on the room's size and layout.ASTERI can provide general lighting in a living room, bedroom, dining room, kitchen or hallway. Its shallow profile is useful where a hanging light is not wanted. Lighting for a worktop or desk should still be considered separately.Electrical installation and glass handlingThe light operates on 230 V AC and requires a protective earth connection. The instructions call for installation by a qualified person with the power supply switched off. The glass shade is fragile and needs careful handling when removed or fitted. The integrated source is not a bulb for routine replacement in a socket: the manual's symbols assign replacement of the LED source and control gear to a professional.Show more
