LYSFJORD 6404 is an outdoor wall luminaire with a cylindrical body 15 cm across and 43 cm tall, cast in aluminium and powder-coated in graphite RAL 7016. It projects 20 cm from the wall, and the light leaves through optical safety glass that closes the cylinder top and bottom. What kind of light it gives The manufacturer describes the light distribution as two-way light at 4° up and down. That is a pencil-thin beam: the luminaire draws two stripes on the wall rather than lighting the space in front of it. It suits a facade, a garden wall or a pillar; it is not the fitting to use as the only light by a door or above steps. The LED modules run at 3000 K — warm white with a slightly yellow cast — at Ra 80. Half the flux goes upward (ULOR 50%) and half down, so the effect above and below the luminaire is symmetrical. Mounting and wiring The luminaire fixes with two screws through ø5 mm holes spaced 73 × 154 mm. It weighs 6.73 kg, so it needs a load-bearing substrate — cladding alone will not hold it. The terminals take conductors up to 2.5 mm², and units can be looped through with up to 1.5 mm², so one run feeds a whole row along the facade. The gland accepts round cable of ø7 to 10.5 mm. The luminaire is protection class I and needs an earth conductor. The 26 A inrush current limits the circuit: the manufacturer allows 18 luminaires on a B10A breaker and 28 on a B16A. Control and light source The electronic DALI outdoor driver is built in, and brightness is set through DALI2 or the NightDim function — an ordinary phase dimmer will not control this version. The manufacturer quotes 100 000 h driver life and 80% lumen maintenance after more than 102 000 hours of module operation. You do not change the light source yourself: the LED module and the control gear are replaceable by professional service only. The diffuser is available separately as service kit 06645000. Build and resistance The body is powder-coated cast aluminium, the cover optical safety glass, and sealing comes from a silicone gasket and an EPDM gland. Rated IP65, the luminaire withstands water jets and can sit on an exposed facade with no shelter above it. IK08 impact resistance corresponds to a 5 J blow. The −20 to +45 °C operating range covers a northern European winter.Show more
