NORLYS Lund 2020GA is a double pole-top head for a garden lantern, made to slip onto a pole 50 mm in diameter. A straight horizontal arm runs out of the central sleeve, and from its ends hang two flat, conical hat-shaped shades with the clear lamp cover showing beneath. The GA version is not painted: the hot-dip galvanised steel keeps the natural silver-grey colour of the zinc. Size and mounting on the pole According to the manufacturer's drawing the head is 85 cm wide and 25 cm high, and each shade is 32.5 cm across. Compare the width with the space beside the path or driveway, because the shades reach well out on both sides of the pole. The fitting weighs 3.5 kg and is designed for a telescopic lighting pole of ø50 mm, which is not included. Norlys also offers this head as the Lund 275 set, with pole 3009 in hot-dip galvanised steel or 3011 in black powder-coated aluminium; the lantern then adjusts in height between 170 and 230 cm. The supply cable goes into terminals that take conductors up to 2 × 2.5 mm². This is a protection class II fitting, so no earth conductor is needed, and it runs on 220–240 V. What light it gives and what to buy with it Under each shade there is an E27 lampholder for an A55–A60 shaped LED lamp of up to 9 W. Lamps are not included, so you need to buy two and choose their colour and brightness yourself; they are changed without a service call. The light is open and partly shielded from above: the cone of each shade sends it mainly downwards, onto the path or lawn. A ULOR of 12 % means that only a small share of the luminous flux escapes above the level of the fitting. Where it can stand IP55 means protection against dust and water jets, so the head can work outdoors without any cover, at temperatures from −20 to +45 °C. The zinc layer protects the steel from corrosion without paint, and the lamp covers are clear PMMA plastic. The manufacturer intends the Lund series for gardens, parks and other spaces around buildings. A damaged cover can be replaced on its own with the Norlys shade service kit 06240000.Show more
