LUMINES Q20 white painted aluminium LED profile, 2.02 m

Name: LUMINES Q20 white painted aluminium LED profile, 2.02 m
Brand: Lumines

LUMINES Q20 is an aluminium LED profile designed to slide over the edge of a shelf or furniture panel. The white painted version, article 10-0001-14, has a manufacturer-specified length of 2020 mm, or 2.02 m. Its distinctive section combines a panel-edge opening with an angled channel for the LED strip.Check the shelf thickness firstQ20 is intended for a panel measuring 20 mm thick. Choosing it therefore involves more than comparing the shelf length with the length of the profile. Measure the panel edge and check it against the section drawing. Q18 and Q20 identify different versions for different panel thicknesses, rather than interchangeable names for the same part. The overall section height is 37.9 mm. The profile consequently occupies space below the panel edge as well as around it, with the lighting channel in the lower section. Allow for that dimension when planning adjacent fronts and furniture components, and use the actual 2.02 m length when checking the run.Build around the strip and coverThe channel accommodates an LED strip up to 12 mm wide. The documentation identifies BASIC covers as compatible components, so check the strip width before putting the system together. The profile is not itself a light source: the selected strip determines colour and brightness, while the cover affects the appearance of the light line. The manufacturer describes a 45° emission direction towards the inside of the shelf. The power supply is located outside the profile. Its position and the cable route therefore need to be planned alongside the visible section on the furniture edge.Lighting inside shelving and cabinetsQ20 is intended for decorative lighting within shelves and cabinets, including kitchen furniture and wardrobes where the panel and mounting arrangement are suitable. The straight white edge follows the shelf line; the finished appearance also depends on the furniture, strip and cover. Manufacturer installation diagrams show double-sided tape or mounting adhesive. This edge-mounted system is not a universal substitute for every kind of under-cabinet fitting.Show more
