BOAVISTA 6046 is a wall-mounted reading light: a matt white round base 7.4 cm across, from which a bendable arm rises to a narrow head 20 mm in diameter. A rocker switch sits on the base, so the lamp is switched at the fitting itself rather than from a separate wall switch. Base and arm are aluminium and metal; the head's cover is acrylic.How big it is and how much wall it takesFrom the lower edge of the base to the tip of the straightened arm the fitting measures 44 cm. The base itself is a disc 7.4 cm across, and the body stands only 2.9 cm off the wall — with the arm folded back the lamp does not reach into the walkway beside a bed or an armchair.The fitting weighs 0.23 kg and is fixed through a single hole in the centre of the base. It is protection class II, so it needs no earth connection, and it is intended for indoor use only.How the light is aimedThe arm bends: the manufacturer's drawing marks 180° of movement in two planes, forwards and sideways. Once bent, the arm stays where it was put, so the light is aimed once at the book or the surface beside it and does not have to be reset each time.The head is 20 mm across and 80 mm long, with the diode recessed inside it. From the side the source itself is not visible — what gets lit is whatever the head points at, not the whole wall behind it.How much light it gives and of what kindThe diode draws 3 W and delivers 185 lm at 3000 K, which is warm white. This is task light rather than room light: an old 60 W bulb gave around 800 lm for a whole room, while these 185 lm are meant for the page of a book or the surface right beside it. The colour rendering index is Ra 80.The source is built in and the manufacturer states it is not replaceable, with a declared life of 30,000 hours — after that the whole fitting is replaced.
