The Lillehammer DC1581BL is an outdoor wall light shaped as an upright rectangular box of cast aluminium, powder-coated black (RAL 9005). Windows of optical safety glass in its top and bottom faces let it shine up and down at the same time, each beam at 60°. This is the 24 V DC version – it runs from a separate power supply, not directly from 230 V mains. Dimensions and mounting According to the manufacturer's drawing the light is 18.5 cm high and 8 cm wide, and it projects 11 cm from the wall. It weighs 1.66 kg. It is screwed on through two ø5 mm holes at 45 × 130 mm spacing, following the supplied installation instructions. The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 2.5 mm², and the supply can be looped on to the next fitting with up to 2 × 1.5 mm²; the round-sheathed cable should be 7–10.5 mm in diameter. The fitting is protection class III, so it runs on safety extra-low voltage. An external voltage-stabilised 24 V DC power supply is required – it is not included, and it is sized to the total load of the connected lights, 7.2 W each. What light it gives Two 3.6 W Cree LED modules produce 1064 lm between them, and 231 lm leave the fitting at 7.2 W. The light does not spill into the surroundings; it draws two bands on the wall, up and down, which is why half of the output (ULOR 50%) goes upwards. The fitting therefore accents the wall itself rather than lighting the area in front of it. 3000 K is warm white, and CRI 80 shows plaster, timber and brick without noticeable colour shift. The LED modules are designed to be dimmed, with control handled on the supply side according to the installation design. The modules are replaced by a professional service, and Norlys offers a service kit for this fitting. The manufacturer rates the drop to 80% of the output (L80) at more than 102,000 h. Build and intended use A silicone gasket and an EPDM cable gland seal the housing to IP65 – dust-tight, protected against water jets and fine to mount without a canopy. IK08 means increased impact resistance. The plain, sharp-edged box without ornament suits modern, minimalist architecture, and Norlys intends the fitting for lighting wall surfaces and facades.Show more
