Rendl ORTA R14249 semi-recessed ceiling light, white aluminium, GU10, Ø6.8 cm

Name: Rendl ORTA R14249 semi-recessed ceiling light, white aluminium, GU10, Ø6.8 cm
Brand: Rendl light studio

Rendl ORTA R14249 is a semi-recessed aluminium ceiling light with a white outer body and a silver-coloured interior. Its short cylindrical section remains visible below the ceiling, framed by a circular rim. This is the white/aluminium version, rather than the white/gold finish offered elsewhere in the same family.Check the ceiling void, not just the visible heightThe outer diameter is 6.8 cm and the manufacturer gives a visible height of 3.2 cm. That compact appearance does not describe the space needed above the ceiling: the specified recess depth is 11 cm. Check the available void before ordering, particularly when replacing fittings in an existing suspended ceiling.Designed for drywall installation, ORTA requires a round cutout measuring 6.4 cm in diameter. The cutout dimension is different from the outer diameter of the trim. The installation manual requires a qualified installer and isolation of the electrical supply before work begins.Choose the light with a replaceable GU10 bulbThe fitting operates at 230 V and takes one LED GU10 bulb rated at no more than 9 W. The light source is selected separately. Brightness, colour temperature and beam angle therefore depend on the bulb, rather than being fixed properties of the housing. The wattage limit should not be read as a brightness rating. The manufacturer allows dimming with a suitable light source. If dimming is required, choose a dimmable bulb and a dimmer compatible with it; the GU10 socket alone does not provide that function.A short cylinder with a restrained finishThe white exterior and metallic-looking interior suit modern, minimalist schemes. ORTA can be considered for living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens or corridors where an appropriate ceiling construction is available. Plan the number and spacing of fittings around the chosen bulbs and the room's lighting requirements, not simply the small size of the body.Show more
