Narvik II 1735AL is a 95 cm bollard light that tapers upwards and finishes in a domed cap. The body is a powder-painted aluminium casting in aluminium RAL 9006, and the lit band under the cap is closed by a satin PMMA lens.Height, base and mountingThe bollard stands 95 cm tall, a little below a bar counter, on a 24 x 24 cm base. The light leaves the fitting at the eye level of someone seated rather than standing, so it lights the surface beside it without glaring at anyone walking past. It weighs 10.9 kg.The base has six oval 10 x 15 mm holes set every 60 degrees on a ø172 mm circle. Norlys states that the mounting accessories are bought separately - the concrete foundation adapter 110GA0309, the mounting adapters 3088GA0009 and 6011GA0011, and the concreting anchor 505XX0009. Without one of them there is no way to set the bollard down, so it belongs in the same order.How much light it gives and whereLight leaves on four sides and is capped from above by the dome. The LED module produces 3017 lm and 1123 lm leaves the luminaire at 22.2 W - the second figure is the one to compare with other fittings, roughly one and a half old 60 W bulbs spread around the bollard.At 3000 K the light is warm white, and Ra 80 is enough for footpaths and driveways. The cap does not hold back everything: ULOR is 17.7%, so part of the light goes above the horizontal, recorded on the card as a B1-U3-G1 BUG rating - worth checking where a dark-sky requirement applies.Control and wiringThe driver sits inside the bollard and control runs over DALI2 with a NightDim function. It arrives programmed for the maximum permitted current, and Norlys makes any further change conditional on contacting its sales department - this is not a dimmer you simply plug in.The terminals take conductors up to 5 x 2.5 mm² and allow further fittings to be looped through at the same cross-section, so a row of bollards along a path runs on one supply line. The round-sheathed cable has to be 8-12 mm or 10-14 mm in diameter. Inspection doors give access to the inside, visible on the body as a rectangular panel.Build and servicingCast aluminium and a PMMA lens give IP65 sealing and IK10 impact resistance, the top of the IK scale, which matters at a kerb or in a car park. The LED module and the control gear are replaceable by a professional, and Norlys publishes the ZS1735zx0010 service kit; it rates the driver itself at 100,000 h.Show more
