Maytoni Tropic Wall Lamp Satin Brass 2xG9 White Glass MOD164WL-02BS

Name: Maytoni Tropic Wall Lamp Satin Brass 2xG9 White Glass MOD164WL-02BS
Brand: Maytoni

The Maytoni Tropic MOD164WL-02BS wall lamp carries two matte white glass globes, each partly covered by a half-round satin brass shell with a hammered surface. Shells and globes sit on a slim tube bent into a U that runs down to the wall plate at the bottom of the fitting. How big it is and how far it stands off the wall The sconce is 56.4 cm tall and 21.5 cm wide and projects 17 cm from the wall. That last figure is the one to compare with the space you have — 17 cm is about the depth of a book standing on a shelf, so the fitting sits well clear of the wall surface. The decorative head with the globes takes up the top 22 cm; the rest is a slender brass frame. The wall plate is at the bottom rather than the top, so the junction box has to be at the lower end of the planned position, not level with the globes. The fitting weighs 2.5 kg. What lamps it takes There are two G9 lampholders for 220–240 V, each rated up to 40 W — that is the ceiling for the lamp, not the draw of the fitting. The maker does not provide for dimming on this model, so the brightness depends entirely on the lamps you choose. The glass is matte and each globe is additionally screened by a brass shell. The lamp is not visible from any angle, and the light comes out soft and diffused, thrown mainly sideways and up along the wall. Mounting and where it belongs The maker states protection class I, so the fitting has to be connected to an earth conductor — a PE core is needed in the box. The plate screws to the wall and the fixing is hidden from below by a shield-shaped brass cap, visible in the detail photographs. IP20 assumes dry rooms: the shower zone of a bathroom and any outdoor position are out. The Tropic series In Tropic the metal parts take the shape of exotic plant leaves and their surface is embossed, which is where the uneven, hammered brass texture comes from — it shows up under raking light. The same motif returns on the larger pendant and on the second sconce of the series, so the fittings can be combined in one room.Εμφάνιση περισσότερων
