TRANG 100 is a pendant shaped as a vertical tube: a glowing opal cylinder 3 cm across and 100 cm long, closed at both ends with peach caps. The tube hangs on a black cable from a cylindrical ceiling canopy in the same peach shade. How much room it needs below the ceiling From the ceiling to the bottom of the tube the fitting measures up to 200 cm, of which 100 cm is the lit section; the rest is cable, shortened to the length you need during installation. The canopy is a cylinder of 6 × 6 × 26 cm — not a flat disc, but a visible part of the shape. Over a table the bottom of the tube should sit 70–80 cm above the top. With a table top at 75 cm, the upper end of the tube then reaches about 250 cm, so under a lower ceiling the hang over a table becomes tight and the lamp works better where it can drop freely — beside a sofa, along a wall, in a circulation area. How much light the vertical tube gives The built-in LED draws 26 W and delivers 3438 lm. That is more than four times an old 60 W bulb, so TRANG 100 can serve as the main light in a room rather than only as decoration. 3000 K is warm white — noticeably warmer than daylight, without the yellow cast of a candle. The opal diffuser spreads the light along the full 100 cm of the tube, so the source here is a line rather than a point and brightness is even from top to bottom. The LED is fixed in place and is not changed the way a bulb is. Build and the rest of the collection The body is made of steel and PVC and the whole fitting weighs 1.5 kg — well within what an ordinary ceiling fixing point carries. Only the canopy and the tube caps are peach; the cable is black, which reads as a clear contrast against a light ceiling. TRANG is a collection: besides the 100 cm version the maker offers pendants of 50 and 75 cm and a floor lamp, in a palette of 19 colours.
