Teak Root Bowl BAZAR BIZAR Natural Beige Teak Wood M

Name: Teak Root Bowl BAZAR BIZAR Natural Beige Teak Wood M
Brand: BAZAR BIZAR

The Teak Root Durian Bowl is a vessel cut from teak wood, its outer wall covered in rows of pyramid-shaped spikes. The pattern reproduces the husk of the durian fruit, and that is the motif the manufacturer names the bowl after. The inside was left smooth, with the grain showing through, and the whole piece keeps the natural, pale tone of the wood, with no stain and no lacquer. Size and capacity The bowl measures 20 × 20 cm and stands 10 cm tall, and the manufacturer gives its capacity as 650 ml. The two figures are worth reading together: a body of that outline would hold considerably more, so the walls are thick and the hollow is noticeably shallower than the outer shape suggests. 650 ml is a measure to compare against what you mean to put in it — a serving of nuts or a few pieces of fruit sits in it comfortably, but for a week's fruit the bowl is too small. The wood and the finish The material is teak, and the piece is made in Indonesia. The surface carries no opaque coating, so the run of the grain is visible, and the base shows a cross-section with growth rings and the natural splits of the wood. The grain is a property of the particular piece of wood rather than a printed pattern, so the bowl that arrives will differ from the photograph in how its rings run. The shape of the spikes and the proportions stay the same. What it is meant for The manufacturer names two uses: the bowl can stand as a decoration in the middle of a table, or work as a dish for fruit, nuts and snacks. The carved wall means it reads as well from the side as from above, so on a low table or a sideboard it holds up empty too.Εμφάνιση περισσότερων
