NOTTINGHAM is a chandelier with five flattened shades of amber-tinted glass, each encircled by a band in an antique brass finish. The frame and the ceiling pan carry the same finish, and the whole hangs from a chain. One shade measures 25.4 cm across and 15.2 cm high; the fitting itself is 61.5 cm high and 71 cm wide. How far down it hangs The manufacturer gives a drop of 68.5 cm to 247.7 cm and supplies 182.9 cm of chain that may be cut at any point. The height is therefore set once, during installation, and not adjusted afterwards — measure it from the ceiling to the surface the light will hang over: a dining table is usually 75 cm high, a bar counter 100-110 cm. The ceiling pan is 15.2 cm across and 3.8 cm deep, which decides whether it covers the existing ceiling opening. Light sources The fitting has five E27 sockets and takes lamps of up to 40 W per socket. No light sources are included and there is no integrated LED here either, so five lamps are a separate order line. The tinted glass is see-through and the lamp stays visible inside it, which makes its shape and filament type part of how the light looks rather than only part of its specification. The manufacturer describes the fitting as dimmable. The dimming is done by the lamp together with a dimmer, so lamps marked as dimmable are the ones to choose. Materials, supply and delivery The body is steel and the shades are tinted glass. The luminaire is protection class I, so an earth conductor has to be present at the mounting point, and it runs on 220-240 V. The manufacturer intends it for interior use only.
