Table lamp MUSE MOD304TL-01G Maytoni

Name: Table lamp MUSE MOD304TL-01G Maytoni
Brand: Maytoni

Muse MOD304TL-01G is a table lamp 52.7 cm tall. Its base is a cylinder of cast glass with vertical fluting, clear in this version, standing on a round gold-finished footplate; from the gold ring above the glass a slim stem carries a white cotton drum shade 32 cm across. How much of the surface it takes up The footplate is only 11.6 cm across, but the shade is 32 cm — the shade is what sets the space the lamp needs, overhanging the base by roughly 10 cm on every side. On a bedside table or a narrow console it is worth checking that figure before buying. The supply cable is 180 cm long, which fixes how far from a socket the lamp can stand. The fitting weighs 4.05 kg, and the mass sits in the glass cylinder, low over the surface. Light source and control The lamp has one E27 socket rated up to 60 W. You choose the bulb yourself, so the colour of the light follows that choice. The manufacturer does not provide for dimming, so brightness is settled when the bulb is chosen rather than at a control. The switch sits on the cable, within reach beside the surface — there is no need to feel under the shade. The cotton cloth diffuses the light, and because the drum is open at the top as well as the bottom, part of the output goes to the ceiling and part straight down onto the surface. Glass, metal and fabric The body combines two materials: cast glass and metal in a gold finish. The glass cylinder carries vertical facets all the way round, which refract the light falling from the shade; the manufacturer points out that the sculpted shape of the glass only comes out fully once the lamp is lit. The shade is sewn from white cotton. In the Muse series the same glass comes in three colours — clear, smoke and powder pink — and this piece is the clear version with gold metal. Maytoni gives a five-year warranty on the fitting.Εμφάνιση περισσότερων
