Lucide ALION 2-Light Black Retro Ceiling Spotlight 17999/02/30

Name: Lucide ALION 2-Light Black Retro Ceiling Spotlight 17999/02/30
Brand: Lucide

Lucide ALION 17999/02/30 is a two-light ceiling spotlight: two smoked-glass shades mounted on a black, rectangular metal bar. Each head rotates and tilts independently, so the light can be aimed at two different spots. Lucide classes the fitting as retro, while the rounded shades on a plain bar give it a modern outline at the same time. Size and installation The metal base measures 26 × 10 cm and is 2.5 cm thick; with the shades the fitting projects 18 cm from the ceiling. That is little, so ALION does not visually lower the room and suits a lower ceiling too. It weighs 0.73 kg and the fixing materials are included. ALION is protection class II, which means it needs no earth conductor and can be connected where the ceiling box has no earth. The manufacturer intends it for indoor use only. Bulbs and dimming The fitting has two E14 lampholders for bulbs of up to 25 W each. Bulbs are not included, so you need to buy two. The manufacturer allows LED sources and names its own P45 E14 3 W filament bulb at 2200 K (Lucide 49046/03/62) as the matching one. Light that warm, behind smoked glass, looks subdued and amber, and the filament stays visible through the shade. ALION can be dimmed, but that takes two items bought separately: a dimmer fitted in place of the ordinary wall switch, and bulbs marked as dimmable. The fitting itself has no electronics of its own and is switched on at the wall switch. Where ALION works Two movable heads let you point one at a wall, a picture or a shelf and the other down at a worktop or a passage. That makes the fitting useful in a living room, hallway, kitchen, office or study, in an attic room, and in a shop, where the heads can be aimed at displayed goods. Lucide also sells the smoked-glass shades as a separate spare part (ALION Glass, Smoke Grey), so a broken shade can be replaced without buying the whole fitting.Εμφάνιση περισσότερων
