BISCUIT 100 is a pendant shaped as a horizontal aluminium bar in olive green. The lower edge of the housing is scalloped — that detail is what separates the collection from a plain straight beam. The light comes from an LED strip set deep inside the profile. How big it is and how high to hang it The bar is 98.5 cm long, 13 cm wide and 6.5 cm tall. Compare the first figure with your own table top — the fitting lights a strip of roughly that length. The lower edge is usually hung 70–80 cm above the table; higher and the light spreads wider, lower and it shines into seated people's eyes. The two-cable suspension drops the fitting up to 200 cm below the ceiling, and the cables shorten at their clamps. They meet the bar 22 cm in from each end, 54 cm apart. The ceiling plate measures 23 × 3 cm in the same olive shade; the cable is transparent. The luminaire weighs 1.7 kg, the box 2.3 kg. The light it gives The fitting draws 12 W and delivers 1563 lm at 3000 K, warm white close to a traditional incandescent bulb. That is roughly twice what a 60 W bulb gave, spread along the whole bar instead of concentrated in one point. The colour rendering index is Ra 93, well above the usual Ra 80: food, wood and fabric keep their colours almost as in daylight. The LED strip sits deep in the aluminium profile, so from a seat at the table the lit source is not visible. The LED module is permanently built in and supplied with the fitting — there is no bulb to buy and none to replace. Control by remote, app, DALI or push dimming is a separate variant Thoro builds to order; this version does not have it and is switched from an ordinary wall switch. Mounting, and where the manufacturer intends it The fitting runs on 230 V at 50 Hz and is protection class I, so the circuit needs an earth conductor — without earthing it must not be connected. The manufacturer intends it for indoor use only. Thoro directs this pendant over a dining table and a kitchen island, into a studio, home office or relaxation area, and commercially to a hotel reception, spa, restaurant or café, showroom and lounge.
