ANTIC MOD302WL-02W1 is a two-light wall lamp with two vertical shades of cast glass with a ribbed surface. The shades are white and sit one above the other, separated by a gold-coloured sphere on a short arm next to the round wall plate. The metal parts are electroplated in a gold finish. How much wall it takes up The lamp is 43,5 cm high and 8 cm wide and projects 12,5 cm from the wall — that last figure is the one to compare with the passage left beside the mounting point. Each of the two shades is 20 cm long and 5 cm across, and the round plate of 8 cm diameter covers the wiring box. The fitting weighs 0,6 kg, so the fixing itself carries very little load. The shades face in opposite directions, one up and one down, so the lamp draws a vertical band of light on the wall rather than lighting a whole room. Which light sources it takes The fitting has two G9 sockets and the manufacturer states 28 W for the whole lamp, that is 14 W per source. G9 is a small capsule base — you choose colour and brightness together with the bulb, so that choice decides whether the light comes out warm or neutral. Maytoni describes the fitting as non-dimmable, so brightness is not adjusted with a dimmer. It is rated protection class I, which means a protective earth conductor in the box is needed to connect it. Supply is 220–240 V, 50 Hz. Build and variants The shades are made of cast glass, and the vertical ribbing breaks the light into narrow bands and stays visible with the lamp switched off. Maytoni offers the same model with cognac and grey shades as well, so white is what tells this variant apart from the other two. Antic is a series in which classic proportions meet a plain contemporary outline, with no ornament on the body.
