The Viviana 72746 is a 15-light pendant 72 cm across, built from several tiers of bevelled crystals in a champagne tint set into a polished chrome-plated frame. The whole fitting hangs from a chrome chain finished with a round ceiling rose. Size, weight and what the ceiling has to carry The body measures 72 cm in diameter and the drop adjusts between 80 and 210 cm by taking links out of the chain. That 72 cm is the figure to compare with your own furniture: over a 90 cm wide table top the fitting covers almost its full width. The pendant weighs 22.2 kg. At that weight an ordinary hook in a plasterboard ceiling will not do — the fixing has to reach a structural member. The manufacturer rates the fitting as Class I, so the installation must bring an earth conductor to it. Fifteen bulbs that are not in the box The lampholders are E14 and take candle bulbs of up to 40 W each. The manufacturer supplies no bulbs and names E14 LED lamps as the intended choice. The difference is arithmetic: fifteen points at 40 W of filament come to 600 W, while the same holders fitted with LED draw a fraction of that. Bevelled crystals refract light at their edges, so a clear lamp with a visible filament throws a different pattern on the walls than a frosted envelope that diffuses it. That decision is made when buying the bulbs, not when buying the fitting. Finish and where it can hang The frame is steel, chrome plated and polished, and the crystals are tinted — they carry a warm champagne tone rather than being colourless. An IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry interiors, which rules out the shower zone of a bathroom and any outdoor position. Supply is 230 V, and the fitting is made in China.Näytä lisää
