LIVIA 4029 is a single-lamp pendant with a spherical shade 20 cm across: the lower part is matt opal glass, the upper cap is polished brass-plated steel. The shade hangs on a black cord beneath a brass ceiling rose 8 cm in diameter. How low it hangs and how it is fitted The manufacturer gives 100 cm of total height, 80 cm of it cord. The cord is shortened during installation, so above a dining table of the usual 75 cm the shade can be set at the customary 70–80 cm above the top, and higher over a kitchen island. The ceiling rose is 8 cm across and 3 cm deep, and the fitting weighs 1,4 kg — the two plugs in the mounting kit and a drill are enough to hang it. The conductors join in the terminal inside the rose. Which lamp to buy for it The fitting has one E27 socket and no lamp is included. The installation card allows LED only, up to 15 W — the incandescent lamp is crossed out on it. The size limit matters more: the envelope may be at most Ø50 × 105 mm, while the standard A60 pear is 60 mm across and will not go into this shade. That leaves G45 golf-ball, candle and slim tubular lamps. The card allows dimming, but a dimmer and a lamp described as dimmable are needed for it. The matt glass scatters the light in every direction, so the globe glows softly, with no hard shadow beneath it. Where it may be hung IP44 means protection against splashing water from any direction — which is what lets this fitting hang in a bathroom too, outside the shower and bath zone. The fitting is protection class I, so the wiring at the mounting point has to carry an earth conductor. Build and the rest of the LIVIA collection Body, rose and cap are brass-plated steel, the shade is opal glass. The LIVIA collection offers the same globe in a smaller 12 cm version on an E14 socket (4031) and in a chrome finish (4030 and 4032), while three globes on one bar make up versions 1416 and 1417 — so the same shade can be repeated over a table and beside it.Näytä lisää
