Die stationäre Phase der NUCLEODUR C18 Pyramid basiert auf hochreinem Kieselgel und wird durch eine Octadecyl-Modifizierung mit polarem Endcapping modifiziert. Durch das polare Endcapping ist diese C18-Phase für wässrige Eluenten geeignet und wird auch als "Aquasäule" bezeichnet.
